A lot of people go into the blogging industry dreaming fame and money. Unfortunately the blogging world is pretty competitive and an easy success is not realistic. But there is way more to blogging than it meets the eye. So here are some realistic reasons why you should create your own blog.
- Creating Relationships
Even if its a comment every once in a while or a casual conversation the blogging community from my personal experience is very nice. By creating your blog you get the chance to talk with people, exchange ideas and even make new friends.
- Improve Your Writing
By writing a lot of posts you can evolve and improve your writing without the anxiousness of grades and strict teachers.
- Create a Portfolio
If you are interested in the writing, social media, blogging, youtubing, marketing….. etc. industries chances are your potential bosses will want to review your work. Having a blog that you have worked on for a long time ready for submission makes things a lot easier.
- Attract Opportunities
As you must be aware blogging is a growing field. This means that companies are interested in bloggers and having a blog might get you an invite to a cool event or even a free product to try out. Of course you should not begin blogging just for that but its a great addition to all of the above.
- Create
Every person is different. But we all have the need to express ourselves. By creating new blogging content you have a nice hobby through which you can show your true self in a fun way.
Why did you start blogging? Let me know in the comments below.

I started my blog to help people around the world with their eczema by natural means and also to help people be healthier naturally with a plant-based diet, reducing chemicals in daily life, etc. I turned my severe struggle with eczema into something positive to impact the world positively. Everything I talk about in my blog, I do in my life, or have used the products I talk about, etc. I put a lot of care into it 🙂.

Awesome post to read, all true. I began blogging because everyone asked me to share my travel, dating and beauty list I would keep for years in my phone notebook.

Blogging certainly helps you become more aware of other people, art, music, and new ideas. I’m always thinking about my blog and spend more time than I care to admit perfecting my sentences. Hopefully I’ll get past the writer’s block soon and just get everything down quickly. 😉

I totally agree! We all get writers block sometimes. For me most of the time I struggle to find ideas and there are rare times that I have thousands of ideas and obviously no time to execute

Love love love this list! Since I’ve started my blog I get lots of emails from others asking “the quickest way to monetize” if they start a blog. I always tell them that they have the wrong idea. This is not a get rich quick thing. I started my blog because I had a story to tell and wanted to get to know others who loved reading and writing and I have formed some wonderful relationships with people all across the world. Love this post!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I don’t know why people believe blogging is easy money. I’ve been blogging for three years and I am still not a millionaire 😂

Hi there. I started blogging just to share my ideas with the world. And since I’m a mother, I honestly need something to keep me busy other than my child. It just gives you those few relaxing moments in a day to read others content and experiences. Lot of fun. 👍🏼

Honestly I don’t have kids but I understand how precious it is to have time for yourself even if it is for a little while. It takes A LOT raising a human being and I admire you for that.

Thank you very much. Especially with social media we all compare ourselves to others. There is always going to be someone who has it better and someone who has it worse. So we have to try and not care as much for others and focus on our own journey.

Blogging me for started to fill a void that began after a very emotionally hard breakup, writing my thoughts down was my was of survival and I wasn’t so consumed in the head. 4 months into it now and I can honestly say I wouldn’t have found myself and become who I am now without this blog I have, never has my intention been to become a celebrity or sell silly products but to express my soul and it’s been a worthwhile journey. I LOVE BLOGGING.
