What’s in my college bag?

Hi everyone! I commute everyday to my college. It takes me an hour to get here and another one to go back. Needless to say I need a lot of things to get through the day but also I can’t be carrying a suitcase around. When I started college I saw those gorgeous girls walking gracefully around with beautiful handbags. My first thought was: I want to look like that. Unfortunately I soon realized that a handbag was not going to work for me and my poor arm. So I bought this really nice backpack!
I particularly love the color because it fits to every season perfectly! Unfortunately the particular color is not longer available but you can see the color selection Here.

Here’s what’s in my bag!

  • My notebook. Since I don’t take a crazy amount of notes I chose to get one notebook for all three of my classes to avoid the extra weight. I particularly like sewn notebooks instead of spirals since I am left handed.
  • My textbook. For most classes we thankfully have e-books so I don’t carry much weight but for this particular class it wasn’t available.
  • My agenda. I truly need it to keep all those horrific deadlines organized.

  • My pencil case

  • My “girl” bag.
  • A hairbrush

  • My wallet

  • My sunglasses.
  • And last but not least my contact lens solution. It sounds insane but I never leave the house without my contacts solution. If you wear lenses you probably know that they have a mind of their own and that they smell fear. So the solution is the only way to fix an accident without damaging your eyes.

PS: the thing which caught my eye is – you get to sit and study on the grass!!! ☺

    1. We are lucky to have a very green campus. Even though I probably look weird I like reading on the grass! Thank you for your kind words.

      1. Well if you put your mind to it you can do it! Even if your school or university doesn’t have a garden you can still go to a park!

      2. Yeah but where i stay there are no parks or garden in the vicinity… it’s a concrete jungle unfortunately! 😔That’s why i said you are lucky!! 😊

  2. I actually wrote about my handbag one minute ago…a blogger asked what we would grab in case of a fire. Living in South Africa, we had devastating fires a few days ago; actually they are still raging. And some of our most beautiful towns were completely destroyed…My handbag…I will grab my handbag if I had a second.

  3. Love this post! You really highlighted the necessities. I’m transferring to a university to live on campus, but for the past year I also commuted a long distance to school and totally understand the struggle of wanting to look and feel as free as the dirks on campus that just threw a notebook and pen in their bag for class.

  7. Umm…I like your post very much!!
Loved to see that your little bag contains lots of things.
My bag contains a water bottle as water keeps you healthy and makes your skin shiny.
A notebook (just in case I need to write down anything).
A pencil case(as I don’t like to borrow one, Lol).
And lastly my wallet (a very good friend of mine XD).

  8. Yay! It’s so weird to say this, but I love knowing what’s in other people’s bags (?). It’s so interesting! Also, your bag is lovely. An essential in my bag is hand sanitizer and perfume – it’s always hot in Dubai. What do you study in college? Looking forward to more of your posts x -M

  9. Beautifully written blog and yes your bag looks lovely. Well I had the same subject at college and could imagine those “graceful girls carrying beautiful handbags” since I also used to carry handbag, other than what you carry in you bag, I had hand sanitizer and a lip balm.

      1. No, not at all, I loved it! It wasn’t like I just used to carry handbag, with different attire I had different bags, since I was a “trend follower” I actually enjoyed it. Now, 5 years down the lane, I sometimes wish if I could carry handbag or tote bag but I cannot, as I’m a mother of 18 months old little girl, but now I keep myself so much in my comfort zone that I can just handle one small sling bag.
