Five models that are not afraid to be different!

For a lot of years fashion had a pretty specific type that was considered “pretty”. Unfortunately that type was far from reality. Discrimination and false idea of beauty is still a huge problem for the fashion industry but we have taken huge steps to the right direction. So here are my five  favorite models!

  1. Iskra Lawrence   A stunning blonde that is not afraid to be goofy and kick the haters in the butt! Plus totally Instagram goals!
  2. Winnie Harlow   A gorgeous 21 year old that showed us beauty is everywhere. Even in a chronic skin condition!
  3. Rebekah Marine  A beautiful badass that needs to star in a sci-fi film ASAP! Can someone make it happen?
  4. Madeline Stuart   The cutest nineteen year old that puts the rest of us nineteen year olds to shame! ( Can sitting on my laptop be considered changing the world? No? Ok…)
  5. Philomena Kwao   Another stunning woman showing us that all sizes and colors are beautiful in their own unique way!

Who is the model that you look up to? Let me know in the comments below!

My blogging tips and tricks

I’m obviously not a professional blogger but I do believe that everyone has something to offer. So here are my best blogging tips! Maybe you’ll get something out of them!

  • Purpose

When starting a blog know what you want from it. If blogging is a way for you to vent and talk about things that interest you, you can be really laid back about it. On the other hand if you are hoping to someday make an income out of it you have to be a lot more focused and consistent.

  • Content

Your blog’s content must be something you are passionate about. Something you’ll feel proud about once you hit that little update button. Don’t try to write about something that you believe people will like. It won’t work out.

  • Photos

Ok you have the great content. Now what? Most people will NOT click on your post if a photo doesn’t accompany it. We are visual creatures. Always make sure your blog has some great pictures. If you’ll only keep one thing from what I’m saying  this is it!

  • Socializing

Even if you are the greatest blogger in the whole universe if people can’t physically see your blog they cannot engage. Make sure your blog is out there. Comment, like and socialize on social media. Don’t forget though to be yourself. See other people as meaningful connections not just as another follower.

  • Theme

Choose a theme that represents you and is easy to navigate. The technicalities of running a blog are definitely hard but with time things will be sorted out. No one started from the top!

  • Subscribe button

If people have to search for it they WONT click it. So make sure it has a pretty good spot on the layout of your blog.

  • Advice

Always listen to others. You might get something from them. When you read a successful blog don’t just look at it. See what they are talking about, how they are saying it and their layout. Everything should be a source of inspiration!

  • Followers

What I like to do is set a goal of new followers everyday. This should be adjusted to your blog’s needs. Mine right now is ten! Some days I get it and some I don’t but looking at my chart of follower goals helps me stay focused and inspired!

What are your blogging tips? Would you like to see a photo editing post? Let me know in the comments below!

The perfect Christmas outfit

Since the 1st of December hit the calendar an abundance of Christmassy/festive season posts came streaming in and it’s still going of course. Some get excited like a little kid in a candy shop, while others try to avoid these joyous posts about this festive season, but let’s just say I am part of the group of people that jump up and down, because for me, this is the best time of the year.

We all want to look great on Christmas day, right? Whether it be glam or just comfy, Christmas just is one of those days where you put a little more effort into putting an outfit together. And if you’re looking for some inspo, I got you covered 🙂

Classic & Sophisticated

If you’re going to some fancy Christmas dinner, this outfit will surely be perfect for such an occasion.

Pairing this white tulle skirt with the dark red wine coloured long sleeve cropped velvet top (what a mouthful) – GORGEOUS! I think it would look even more gorgeous if the top has an open back. You can go a little shorter with the tulle skirt, but I think the knee length adds to the classiness.

These black chunky heels with a strap and slightly pointed toe along with the silver teardrop earrings would compliment the skirt and top and definitely adds to the elegant factor.

Of course the outfit would not be complete without a gorgeous golden smokey eye and dark lip look and a sleek high bun – this really ties the whole look together.

This whole look screams sophistication!

Cute & Quirky

If you’re looking for something that’s a bit more chill, but can still classify as a night or day out outfit, then you should definitely have a look at this one. I think this might be my favourite one.

So you guys have probably figured out by now that I love dark reddish kinda colours and I mean they are also Christmassy colours. For the bottoms of this look you can either choose between this burgundy velvet skirt with black buttons or the dark red skirt to go with this ivory/off white cropped sweater and black tights – plain or polka dots!

For the accessories you gotta have this black tie up choker (I don’t really know what it’s called?) and these amazing ankle boots that I wish would just magically appear in my closet. (hopefully Santa sees this haha)

Of course you can mix and match with different chokers or any accessories for that matter. It’s called quirky after all, right?

We’ll finish off the look with a subtle smokey eye and the perfect nude coloured lip – you can do a dark lip with this outfit too! And gorgeous soft, but messy, wavy hair.

This is definitely my favourite look, it is so up my street.

Comfy & Casual

Most of us want to look stylish this time of year, but still feel comfy. This next outfit does both and it’s definitely the easiest to put together!

I wouldn’t mind owning both of these sweaters, but some people prefer not to wear the cliché Christmas sweater, so they might lean towards a different sweater like this off white one with mini pom poms – so cute and it’s still kinda festive! And it’s so easy to pair with black skinny jeans (or any jeans of your choice) or even some black leggings. The goal is to be as comfy as possible, but still look stylish.

Throw in some combat boots with long comfy socks and this adorable beanie and you’ve got yourself a pretty awesome outfit!

For makeup you can do a very subtle and natural look or you don’t have to wear any makeup, it’s totally up to you. I think this subtle glowy makeup look will be perfect and some boxer braids will be great with that beanie!

♥ ♥ ♥

I’m really into all three of these outfits – they’re so Christmassy and they’re also really easy to mix and match and pair with other colours or accessories – go ahead and be creative and do your own thing with it.

I got these ideas from Pinterest, of course, cause Pinterest is the best place to go to for inspiration and ideas.

Thanks for reading! Tell me what’s your favourite look out of these three?

Go-to YouTube channels for Fitness

Hey everyone!

Do you guys sometimes feel like you want to exercise and start being more healthy and achieve that beach ready body, but you just don’t know where to start or what to do. I find myself in that position quite often, too often actually. I love working out and healthy stuff, but a lot of times I find myself being too lazy to follow a proper exercise schedule or program (even though I have made hundreds of them for myself) and I know it’s actually really important, especially if you have specific goals you want to achieve.

So on these lazy days I tend to reach for my computer and go on YouTube and search for a workout I feel like doing and that is within my fitness level (which is not very advanced at the moment haha) and that would meet my personal goals. Let me just give some clarification; it is not always about the laziness, but it is just much easier to do your workouts off of YouTube videos cause it’s quicker, you don’t have to wonder about what workout to do today and you’re getting a workout from someone who actually knows what they’re doing.

I have a few fitness YouTube channels that I usually go to and I thought I’d share them with you guys:

POPSUGAR Fitness

This comes as no surprise cause I’m pretty sure a lot of people love them some POPSUGAR Fitness videos. They have so many different workouts to choose from and what I love about their workouts is that they are so simple and the instructors get right to the point, they don’t ramble about things you don’t really listen to anyway before getting on to the actual workout. They are really professional but yet fun and quirky!

popsugar-2

Rebecca-Louise

You guys might recognize this name from XHIT Daily. Rebecca-Louise has her own YouTube channel where she uploads a new workout video every Sunday. On her channel you will find a huge variety of workouts to do. I really like the way she presents her workouts – with a lot of upliftment and motivation!

Boho Beautiful

My all time favourite channel to go to for amazing yoga sequences! Juliana has such a beautiful humble soul and she really knows how to make everyone want to participate in this mindful exercise. She also gives pilates classes as well as some other fitness workouts.

maxresdefault

Blogilates

Everyone knows the famous fitness girl Casey Ho and for good reason! She provides her fellow fitness lovers with videos filled with excitement and of course some great moves to get those beach ready bodies! From pilates to HIIT workouts – she’s got them all!

maxresdefault (1)

Yoga With Adriene

When I first started doing yoga I would go to Adriene’s channel for some guidance, cause I had zero knowledge of what to do and she really guides you through each sequence with ease. And with her gentle soothing voice you’ll feel super relaxed after doing one of her yoga workouts. What I really like about her content is that not only does she focus on the yoga part, but she also makes a lot videos where it’s a yoga sequence specifically for back pain or to help with headaches, so it’s like a 2-in-1.

Tone It Up

Ahhh the girls that I have followed since day one (kinda). I love their workouts so much, especially their ones from a few years back. They’re so fun and quirky and that shows in their workouts. Karena and Katrina offers a wide range of workouts including yoga, HIIT, toning moves and so much more. So, you really do not have an excuse for not getting a few workouts in.

tone-it-up-bikini-series-2017-karena-katrina

All of these channels have their own websites as well where you can find more info regarding workouts, meal plans, tips & tricks and a whole lot more fun goodies!

There are many other great fitness girls out there like Kayla Itsines BBG program, but unfortunately you have to pay a monthly subscription to have access to most of their workouts and meal plans and there are people who can’t do it and why pay a monthly subscription if you can just go to one of these YouTube channels and have access to TONS of workouts!

Hope you guys check them out!

Till next time 🙂

Top 5 DIY beauty remedies

Hellooo everyone!

Happy Monday! I hope you all have a fantastic week 🙂

So today I’m sharing with you guys my top 5 favourite beauty remedies you can do at home and they are perfect for those days you feel like pampering yourself and just feeling like giving your body some TLC! These are all recipes that are easy to make and most of the ingredients are organic and can easily be found in your kitchen or wherever in your home.

I love to do all 5 of these remedies on one day, usually Sundays, because it’s one of those routines to make you more relaxed and to ensure your body that you haven’t forgotten to take some extra care of it! And what better way to end your week, right?

P.S. I wrote a post a while ago also on My Life Book by Naya that’s called “Sundays: relaxation & preparation” and it’s all about how you can prepare yourself for the upcoming week and I think this post fits in perfectly with the “Sundays: relaxation & preparation” post – so go have a look! 🙂 https://justnaya.wordpress.com/sundays-relaxation-preparation/

 Honey Cinnamon Nutmeg Face Mask

face mask

This is my all time favourite DIY face mask! I am sure you’ve probably seen a few recipes of this miracle worker across Pinterest. I have mentioned this mask before in my current skincare routine post. The honey acts as a natural moisturizer and it’s also antibacterial which helps in the treatment and prevention of acne. The cinnamon is antiseptic and in combination with the nutmeg, it reduces the bacteria on the surface of your skin and dries existing pimples out, exfoliates, reduces redness and inflammation and revitalizes your skin which gives it a healthy, radiant glow!

This face mask also fades away any acne scarring and dark spots. Ladies, (and gents) please be very careful with the lemon juice, especially when you have very sensitive skin! Just use a few drops rather, or you can leave it out entirely (the mask will still do wonders without it). It will make your skin feel a bit tingly, but it’s nothing to stress about. Unless your face starts to feel like it has caught on fire, I recommend washing it off IMMEDIATELY! (but it really won’t happen if you know your skin).

Mix 1 tsp of grounded organic cinnamon, 1 tsp of grounded organic nutmeg, 1 tbsp of pure organic honey and 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice (or just a few drops) in a bowl together. Apply it to your entire face (and neck if you want to), avoiding the eye and lip area. Keep it on for about 20-30 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. You can use this mask twice a week if you want quicker results, but I usually use it only once a week.

Egg & Coconut Oil Hair Mask

hair mask

If you want beautiful silky smooth and shiny luscious locks, then you gotta have a go at this hair mask! And best part is, it’s only two ingredients. Mix together 2 tbsp of coconut oil (in its liquid form) and 1 whole egg. Evenly apply the mixture to all your hair, taking extra care of your roots. Wrap your hair up in a loose bun or clip it with a hair clipper and tie a plastic grocery bag over your hair (weird, I know but it’s to keep in heat for optimal benefits) Leave it on like this for at least 3-4 hours and then remove the plastic bag and wash hair as normal (you might have to shampoo twice). Make sure all of the mixture is out of your hair before applying conditioner. You can use this hair mask twice a month or once a week – it really depends on your personal preferences and goals.

Your hair will be sooo soft and shiny and yes, I know that applying raw egg to your hair is gross and can be a little messy, but you’ll thank yourself after a few uses of this mask. It leaves your hair insanely nourished, which means less hair loss and more hair growth! Whoop whoop!

Coffee & Sugar Body Scrub

body scrub

Ladies, it’s not just our faces that need exfoliation, our bodies needs to be treated too! I have found that this body scrub works amazingly for dry and dull skin. AND because it contains coffee, it helps a ton for getting rid of, wait for it… cellulite! Get rid of all those creams and lotions you’ve purchased ’cause let’s face it, most of them don’t do the job that well anyway. This scrub will fulfill all your “cellulite free” dreams! ‘Cause not only does it truly help for cellulite, it gets rid of dead and dry skin cells while moisturizing, which makes it perfect to use before and after you shave!

Mix together 1 cup of grounded coffee (like from coffee beans, not powder coffee), 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp pure organic honey and 1/2 cup organic olive oil in a bottle or whatever container you like and shake it well so all the ingredients combine nicely. Apply the scrub to your whole body (do not use on face) and rub it gently and really focus on those spots where you have some cellulite. It’s really no need to rub vigorously, because the sugar and coffee is very rough already, otherwise you’ll just damage your skin. I’d recommend applying it before your normal body wash, ’cause otherwise you’ll smell like a coffee shop (unless you don’t mind it then it’s totally fine). You can use this yummy body scrub up to two times a week!

Coconut Honey Hand Scrub

hand scrub

This is another miracle worker! I used to have this one hard, dry patch on my one hand (I don’t know what it’s from) and I would try so many different things to get rid of it until I just one day accepted that it won’t go away. And then one day I made this hand scrub to make my hands softer and to make it appear younger (for the long run) and after a couple of uses I realized that the dry patch has reduced a lot and it’s less prominent. So I love this hand scrub! The honey and coconut oil are both excellent natural moisturizers and the brown sugar helps for the exfoliation – use this scrub once a week for baby soft hands!

Combine together 1 tsp coconut oil, 1 tsp pure organic honey and 1 tbsp brown sugar. Use all of the mixture on both hands and move your hands around like you would when you apply hand lotion, just adding a little bit more pressure. After 2 minutes or so you can rinse it off with lukewarm water. Quick and easy! (P.S. you can use it as a lip scrub as well!)

Apple Cider Vinegar Foot Soak

foot soak

Putting on a face mask and soaking your feet in some warm water concoction, hmmm…. so relaxing. This apple cider vinegar foot soak really helps to fight of dry feet and promotes happy, healthy feet!

All you have to do is mix 1/2 – 1 cup of apple cider vinegar – using the unfiltered one is the best option – 1/2 cup of Listerine mouthwash (you can use any kind I guess) and 2 cups of warm water. The water shouldn’t be boiling hot, but it should be warm enough for you to handle ’cause it is what’s gonna soften your feet so the vinegar and Listerine can get working. Also, always make sure the ratio of your water is more than the vinegar and Listerine. Pour this mixture into a bowl or container that’s big enough for both your feet to fit in, but not too big that the liquid mixture is too shallow.

Let your feet soak for about 10-15 minutes and then scrub your feet with a natural volcanic rock foot stone to really get rid of dry skin and even calluses. Rinse off the excess with lukewarm water and pat feet dry. Apply a foot moisturizer of some sort and put on some socks. Sleep on it and your feet will be super soft the next morning! Use this foot soak twice a month.

♥ ♥ ♥

There you have it! My top 5 favourite DIY beauty remedies. They are all so easy to make and really affordable! Usually I just eye ball the amounts of the ingredients, but for the sake of this post and for you guys, I did go and find the correct measurements and amounts for each recipe. Hope you guys like it and give some of them a try 🙂

Tell me in the comments below if you have tried any of these remedies before!

Drugstore Makeup must haves!

Hey everyone!

I know I haven’t posted in a while (sorry) but things are just so busy at the moment and when I want to post something I make sure I have enough time to write something of good quality, because if I write a post in a hurry I would not be happy with the outcome, and you guys too!

Makeup is one of my favourite things in the world (apart from food & adventures) and every time I walk into a drugstore I go straight to the makeup aisle and I can look at all the different products for HOURS!

Unfortunately we don’t have shops like Sephora or Boots, we only have drugstores and pharmacies and some clothing stores where we can purchase our makeup. Of course there are here and there a few small shops or people that import products from high end makeup brands like Tarte, Too Faced, NARS, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Urban Decay, Charlotte Tilbury, etc. but purchasing from them is hella expensive, because it is imported and it is already high end, which makes it way more pricey than brands like Revlon, Rimmel, Maybelline, Essence, Catrice, Yardley, NYX, etc. (we do have MAC Cosmetics, Smashbox and Clinique which is high end, but they’re very expensive)

However just because these brands are considered drugstore makeup, doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t of good quality. It is usually with these drugstore makeup products that you find some great gems that you’ll fall in love with, so people, make way for the drugstore makeup!

Let’s start with the base and foundation for ya face:

Maybelline New York Baby Skin Primer, Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer & L.A. Girl colour correcting concealer:

5

This baby blue primer from Maybelline really does do what it says on the tube! Your pores are instantly smaller and less visible and it makes for an even smoother foundation application. Before I apply my trusty Catrice concealer, I first use the L.A. Girl colour correcting concealer underneath my eyes (you know the area that always looks like you were either punched in the face or like you haven’t slept in days).

20

It has this orange-brownish-red colour which apparently cancels out the blueish-purple colour under your eyes. I don’t know how that science works, but I do know that it does make a huge difference and helps the normal concealer to do its job even better. Just don’t apply too much, otherwise you’ll look a bit funky!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish & Match Perfection foundations:

3

I’ve only recently purchased the Lasting Finish foundation to use for special occasions, because it promises full coverage and lasts all day! This foundation also gives you a little bit more of a velvety airbrushed look, where as the Match Perfection one is more for those days where you want to cover up, but still feel and look light and natural. Both of them contains SPF which is always a bonus and they work with pumps which makes application super easy and mess-free!

To set my face – Catrice Cosmetics All Matt Plus Powder & Essence Stay All Day Translucent Fixing powder:

8

I don’t use both of these products at the same time, ’cause you don’t want to look unnaturally matte and like your skin is dry. I mostly lean towards the Catrice mattifying powder, because it sets my foundation beautifully and because it has some colour to it, it adds a bit more coverage. I feel it is the perfect powder to use when you don’t have such a busy day and where you won’t be sweating. If I would have a day jam packed full of adventures and things to do or even a photoshoot for example, then I would use the Essence translucent powder. It goes along well with a full coverage foundation and it doesn’t cause flashback.

Catrice Cosmetics Prime And Fine Contouring Palette & Yardley Suntorini Bronzing Powder, for some definition:

7

Ahh I love a good bronzer! And this one from Yardley is definitely giving me some Santorini vibes, even though I have never been there, but the pictures I have seen makes me want to go so bad! I imagine wearing this bronzer in Santorini is a perfect fit, it’s summery and makes you look like a Greek goddess 😉

But let’s not forget about the pretty champagne highlighter in this Catrice contouring palette. It’s not too shimmery and goes well with the bronzer! The cool toned contour colour blends very easily and gives a really natural finish.

Okay so we’re finally moving on to eye makeup products and there are quite a few that I’ve picked out!

If there’s one makeup product that catches my eye quickly, it has got to be beautiful eyeshadows!

Accessorize You Are Everything eyeshadow palette:

1

This palette has 32 different shades! And it has almost every shade you can think of. There are pinks, nudes, blues, greens, purples and just such a big variety of shimmer and matte shades. The eye makeup looks you can create with this palette is endless! I have had this palette for quite a while now, and I know you’re suppose to use makeup for only a certain amount of time, but I can’t let this palette go, because first of all, it’s limited edition (I think) second, look at those gorgeous colours and third, for some reason you don’t get such big makeup palettes in this country!? So I’m really holding on to this one!

L.A. Girl Smoky eyeshadow palette:

10

This is also a great palette to create multiple eye makeup looks with and the formula is really nice. It blends easily and is quite pigmented.

So Essence also has some good eyeshadows, they mostly sell them individually, but I have seen like some small palettes or so. I love their packaging and they are super affordable with really nice quality products. I have been loving these 3 colours from Essence:

12

The blue coloured one is just like a normal matte eyeshadow and is called “billie jeans” – super cute! And it isn’t like an electric blue colour, it is very subtle and soft and it goes really beautifully with the greyish eyeshadow colour. It has been named “you’re the greytest” and it is from their “the velvets” range. It really does feel like velvet and I almost don’t want to use it too much, because look at that cool pattern! The nude shade is called “coffee bean” which is really suitable ’cause I don’t know if I am imagining myself, but it actually smells a little like coffee!

Can you imagine anything better than a makeup product that has two purposes in one? If you are searching for something like that, then you should definitely try Essence 2-in-1 Eyeshadow & Liner and Rimmel London Scandaleyes eyeshadow stick:

17

I apologize for the bad quality photo, I just couldn’t seem to get the colours of these products to show properly and as you can see there’s barely anything left of the Scandaleyes ’cause I’ve used it so much! But this is how they look – the Rimmel eyeshadow stick has this beautiful olive green colour, called “Gossip Green” and it goes amazing with nudes of course and brings out green and brown eyes! The Essence one, named “go bro’nze” is like a metallic dark brown colour with a bit of a shimmer. Both of these sticks are so creamy and soft and they can be used as eyeshadow and eyeliner! It just saves you so much time and effort.

L’ORÉAL Paris False Lash Superstar Mascara & NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker:

11

Mascara is a definite makeup must – just applying literally mascara and nothing else already lights up your bare face a lot! And to be honest that is what I do most days and you can’t go wrong with this one from L’ORÉAL. As you can see, it has two steps, but you don’t have to do both steps. You can just use the actual mascara part if you’re in a hurry. The first part is this white stuff that I guess serves as a primer and adds more volume and length, but just even using the mascara alone already gives your lashes so much volume and oompf! The eyeliner from NYX is the perfect shape and size for a good wing liner or whatever you desire to do with it! Once it’s dry, it stays all day!

Moving on to lip products, finally.

So I’m a sucker for nude colours and dark autumnal colours when it comes to my lip product preferences. I don’t wear lipstick very often, but on special occasions I would go for a red lipstick, a nude one or a plum-purple kinda colour, it depends on what outfit I’m wearing obviously. I like these two lipsticks, the Maybelline Colorsensational in Red Revival & Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Cutting Edge:

15

I mean every beauty guru or lover has to own at least one red coloured lipstick to create that classic red lip look and the plum coloured lipstick is perfect for fall season!

13

Like I said, I only actually wear lipsticks for very special occasions so for daytime looks I would go for something light and easy to apply like the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in the colour Nude Flush & the NYX Butter Gloss in the colour Devil’s Food Cake:

16

First of all, both of these lippies are so easy to apply! The Vivid Matte Liquid lipstick is as it says, matte and it stays for a good amount of time and this colour is sooo pretty and goes with almost everything! And of course, I have to have a butter gloss in a beautiful autumnal plum colour. I have never had devil’s food cake, but it sure smells delicious!

So you guys are probably thinking, “does this girl not own any brow products!?” well … I do own like two brow products, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere (oops) just because I don’t use them as much. BUT I do remember where they’re from: I use the Rimmel Brow This Way, I think it’s called and the other one is also like an eyebrow kit from Essence.

I really love the Rimmel one, because it has a wax and a powder and when you use it in combination with each other it gives a natural look and stays for very long. What’s cool about the Essence one is that it comes with eyebrow stencils and two different colours for a better match to your natural eyebrows!

♥ ♥ ♥

Pheww this is one lengthy makeup post… but hey, us makeup lovers can’t stop rambling about makeup products we genuinely like!

Hope you guys liked it! 🙂

Sundays: relaxation & preparation

Ahhh Sundays. A day where you can either be lazy and happy or a day where you feel stressed, because the weekend’s almost over… The last few weeks I have actually grown fond of Sundays, because I have decided to change things up a little bit. There is really no need to have these mixed feelings about this last day of the week. Sundays should be seen as a day where you can relax and get prepared for the new week to come.

Everyone has different plans on this day, some of us prefer to stay at home and spend the rest of the day being couch potatoes and others like to go on little outings and adventures. Sundays also makes for a great time to prepare yourself for the week to come and by prepare I mean like organizing, writing your week’s schedule and even pampering yourself counts as preparing!

My Sundays differ from time to time, but I always make sure to see it as an opportunity to prepare. You don’t have to spend hours and hours planning and organizing, I mean who wants to do that on a Sunday? You only have to put at least one hour aside to just go sit down and write in your planner or diary about important things you have to be aware of or complete for the following week.

IMG_5089_1024x1024@2x

Making sure of any appointments you might have, events you have to go to, someone’s birthday, places you have to be, tasks or assignments that are due, checking emails… Having an overview of your week will ensure that you are prepared for the week and will prevent you from having a week full of mishaps or unexpected situations. It’s probably best to do this in the morning, because then it’s done and dusted and out of the way and you can enjoy the rest of your Sunday without stressing too much (hopefully).

Now for the next preparation and this does not require any planners and concentration. Sundays are a golden opportunity to pamper yourself from head to toe. I have created a list for myself which I named “Pamper me Sundays” and I have written down different treatments and pampering stuff that I like to do like putting on a nourishing face mask, doing a foot soak and giving extra care to my feet, a yummy hair mask, a nice full body scrub or whatever I feel like pampering myself with.

original

You can enjoy a nice hot bath with a bath bomb or some bubbles (even the alcoholic one too haha). You can even go book yourself in at the spa, whatever you fancy. The point is, Sundays should be the day where you take extra care of yourself. Giving extra TLC to your body or just even your mind and soul! Plus, it’s a great way to finish off your week, especially if it was a rough one. If you don’t take at least one day and put it aside for just taking care of yourself, you might get a little cray-cray.

Pampering yourself on this day will make you feel confident which in return will make you feel prepared for the new week AND it’s relaxing! It’s a win-win!

Try to make it a weekly goal for yourself or a small tradition to prepare yourself for the week and yes I know, we all get lazy sometimes, but just do it and get it out of the way. Trust me, you will feel so much better and you’ll feel like you can take the week by storm!

Till next time guys! 🙂

How do you like to pamper yourself? Tell me in the comments!

Appreciating the little things in life

Hey everyone!

Well, where do I start on this one – this is actually quite a difficult subject to put into words, but I’m gonna try my best and for some reason I just keep feeling that this should be something that I share with you guys.

Appreciating the little things isn’t always that easy. We all dream of having these big, luxurious houses and cars. To travel the world and live in the most expensive hotels. Marrying the perfect partner and having loads of money and wearing expensive brand names only.

.This is so beautiful...and so true. Miracles happen everyday...and all around us.!! We just have to stop, look, and take notice.!!

Well have you ever stopped in the middle of your dream and just noticed who and what is around you? Really noticing who is around you and the things they do for you. Or just noticing the pretty different shades of colour from a flower. Seeing how happy your dog or cat gets when he/she sees you and how he/she actually smiles at you. The cute little note your significant other has left you that has the simple words “I love you” on it.

When you notice these things and realize how special they really are, you will feel your body fill with happiness and gratitude. How does the saying go – “The little things in life are in fact not little.” – because even though it might be the simplest, teenie tiniest of things, it makes us whole. And that is big and wonderful.

Of course there’s nothing wrong with having lots of money and living the lux life, but sometimes we tend to go through life with eye caps on. Even if you’re the poorest man on earth, there’s always something that will make you smile. Even if you’re the richest man on earth, there’s always something that will make you smile. You just have to find it yourself. You have to find that content and calm feeling you get when someone brings you a coffee or sends you a short text or just do’s something for you that’s of the littlest of efforts, but that you know that person does it from their heart.

We go through life always being in a rush, that the little things goes unnoticed. We’re afraid that we’ll miss out on that lux life we’re always dreaming of, that we forget to just sit back and breathe and look around us.

I believe that if more of us noticed these small things and appreciate and cherish them, we would all be a lot happier. Like genuinely happy.

It is sometimes difficult to just stand back a little and just notice. But doing this would make you so much more grateful and appreciative of the things you have in life.

Learn to appreciate the little things 🙂 because they aren’t all that little.

I hope you guys understand the message I’m trying to bring out in this post, it’s quite simple, but still tricky.

Confidence

Being twenty and basically a girl the thing that I have struggled through many years is being confident. Confidence is a really complicated subject. There are many variables you have to take into consideration…

I have met many types of girls chubby, thin, tall, short, long haired, short haired generally different than me. To my eyes they were ALL gorgeous inside and out. So the first thing that pops up on my mind when I come across such a beautiful person is what the hell went so wrong with me. So I took a step back and cleared my head. And that is when I realized that it isn’t about how tall or how curvy you are. It is about how you carry yourself and what you think about you. Because if you choose to see things differently and start to love the things that make you YOU then other people will start to love them. Trust me on this. If you come off as a person that hasn’t the ability to do anything, if you are conviced that you are useless then people will have that opinion about you. Being able to say that I love my body or my hair or who I am is the HARDEST thing that we all have to achieve. It does seem IMPOSSIBLE at times. It took me years to be able to say that I will fight for things because I deserve them. I used to think that I wasn’t good enough to be happy so I stopped trying to. And you know what happened?? Everything in my life went wrong. I felt so unworthy, I cried all day and didn’t do anything fun. But now I have realized that all those horrible things that happened to me and all the other GOOD things that I’ve missed out because I was scared were MY choice. And then I started to do things. I started to take care of myself more, I started talking to people. I started TRYING to do better. And oddly enough I did. I am better now. And although I am not the girl I dream to be I am closer to being her. So take this advice from me: if you don’t like something about your life do something to change it
